Matt planted Trinity Church in early 2025. He was born and raised in Sydney, and is thankful that he gets to call this beautiful city home.

He is amazed that the God of the Bible is a God of second chances – willing to forgive anyone and give them a clean slate and a new life.

Whilst living a depraved life as a young man, in 2008 Matt learned of, and received, God’s forgiveness in Jesus, and he has never been the same since. He is still in awe and wonder, that God might forgive a filthy sinner like him, and give him a new identity, real purpose, and lasting joy. His deep gratitude to God led him to quit his job at the casino, and go into full-time Christian ministry.

He is very happily married to Jane, and they enjoy discovering new cultures and foods.

They have two daughters: Karis (2) and Chloe (born on church launch day!). Matt and Jane are thrilled to show them God’s world, his word, and his people.

Matt trained for ministry at Sydney Missionary & Bible College and is a member of the World Reformed Fellowship.

His passion is to see churches grow healthier and more effective in disciple-making and cross-cultural evangelism.

In his spare time, he likes to play golf, hike mountains, and hang out with his girls.

Lili is an Australian born Tongan who grew up in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Born to Tongan immigrant parents and raised in a predominantly Tongan church her whole life, Lili knew and loved the Lord from a very young age.

Her parents taught her the importance of church family and community and so she grew to love serving the church and its people.

Losing her father in 2007 to cancer was a transformative time in her life as it made her truly question who Jesus is. She witnessed her father's love and life's dedication to God and his last words on earth left a lasting impact which highlighted the importance of Jesus to her.

Lili set out to know Jesus much more than her sheltered knowledge of him through her parents and church. She went on to study theology at Wesley Institute for a few years resulting in a deeper love for God and his people but then she met her husband Nik and put off the degree and got married.

They have two children. Hauofa who is 12 and fresh into highschool and Sesilia who is 10. Lili is happily a full time mother and has learnt the art of balancing her children's commitments to school and sport with discipling them to know and love the Lord and to serve his people.

Lili loves to sew, bake, and read in her spare moments and finds so much joy serving the church in the music team as a vocalist. Being a part of the multi-ethnic Trinity Church family, has brought a new and exciting challenge to love all kinds of people as we have been called to by God.

Nathan is married to Jess and together they're raising their little boy.

As part of our Leadership Team, he assists with church decision-making and supports our Lead Pastor. Nathan works as a software engineer during the week and loves creating his own apps in his spare time. He's passionate about helping young adults navigate the challenges of work, marriage, and parenthood while keeping their focus on serving Jesus. When he's not coding, you'll find him exploring new ways to improve and make life more convenient through technology.

Matthew is married to Sylvia and together they have one daughter, Madeline.

Matthew helped plant Trinity Church in 2025 because he supported the vision of seeing the Gospel faithfully preached and making disciples of Jesus here in Sydney.

His hobbies include thrift shopping, basketball and going to cafes.
